Kids Go First
Listen as Sadler, a Grade 4 student, reflects on the importance of problem solving by embracing our mantra “be brave to try and try again.” While facing challenges can be tough, persistence is key to finding solutions, and learning from mistakes helps us grow. Being brave to innovate and iterate is an important part of the design thinking process that we encourage all students to embody along their learning journey.
STUDENT-CENTERED, INQUIRY-BASED Learning
At Mount Vernon, learning is an adventure, not a chore. Our students explore diverse fields, from engineering and the arts to environmental science and social entrepreneurship. They tackle complex problems to create innovative solutions and collaborate on projects that make a real impact, developing skills that prepare them for the future.
