I am pleased to announce that Anne Katz has been appointed the Chief Community Development Officer at Mount Vernon.
While Community Development appears to be a new department, it combines forces previously known as philanthropy, partnerships, and communications at the School. Focusing on our families, the role of the Community Development team is to add overall value to the development and maintenance of a healthy, thriving community through messaging, experiences, and investments.
Beginning in April, Anne and her team will assume the responsibility for leading three key community areas at the School:
- annual giving (Mount Vernon Fund).
- communication (weekly newsletter, School Rush, website, email, social media).
- volunteers and events (MV Parents Association, Mustang Rally, Rock the Block).
Anne has served in a critical leadership role during the last six years at Mount Vernon, most recently co-leading the Brand Development team. She, her husband Will, and their two daughters have been a part of our School community since 2010.
