Allison Toller Accepts New Opportunity

Oct 3, 2018 | All School

A message from Head of School Dr. Brett Jacobsen:
During the last 10 years, Allison Toller has been a force at Mount Vernon. She has been integral to the School’s transformation journey. Navigating two capital campaigns, accreditations, and strategic plans; developing a marketing and brand strategy; cultivating deep partnerships; and mentoring many, Allison has lived out the MV story of impact and leaves quite a legacy. And, she has been a master at telling our story of impact. I am forever indebted to her leadership and contribution. She will be missed.

Allison shares, “In late 2010 when Dr. Jacobsen offered me a job, I was inspired by his bold plans to transform the school. At the time the Upper School had a little more than 100 students, we were on the heels of the Great Recession, and Mount Vernon was known as a feeder school for many high schools.

This ride has been one of the best experiences of my life, and I am truly grateful for the chance to have been a part of it. Whenever anyone asks me what I like best about Mount Vernon, I always say, ‘the people… because they are extraordinary.’

I am taking on a new role in the corporate world, with an organization that has a vision strikingly similar to Mount Vernon’s– a destination for anyone wishing to design a better world. Starting on October 22, I will be down the street working in Corporate Communications at Cox Enterprises, a company that believes it’s greatest people work together to solve the most pressing problems of the time.”

Good luck, Allison – we will miss you!
