As a member of AAAIS, applications submitted by our posted deadlines will receive admissions decisions on April 4, 2020. We continue to accept late applications and will process decisions on a rolling admissions timeline after April 4, 2020.

Mount Vernon utilizes Ravenna, a paperless admission system that provides a simplified, centralized, and complete application experience for families.

  • PRESCHOOL APPLICATIONS

    Age Two – PK5

    1. Create a Ravenna Account

    2. Submit an application through Ravenna (includes a nonrefundable $100 fee)

    – Applicants to PK3, PK4, and PK5 complete steps 3 and 4 

    3. Request the Teacher Evaluation Form through Ravenna (if your child is not currently enrolled in a school, we ask that your child’s primary caregiver complete the form)

    4. We will contact you to schedule your child’s Admissions Assessment

  • LOWER SCHOOL APPLICATIONS

    Kindergarten – Grade 5

    1. Create a Ravenna Account

    2. Submit an application through Ravenna (includes Shared Applicant Information Form, Parent Questionnaire, and a nonrefundable $100 fee)

    3. Schedule JATP Evaluation

    4. Request Teacher Evaluation Form and School Records through Ravenna

    5. We will contact you to schedule your child’s Admissions Assessment

  • MIDDLE SCHOOL APPLICATIONS

    Grades 6-8

    1. Create a Ravenna Account

    2. Submit an application through Ravenna (includes Shared Applicant Information Form, Parent Questionnaire, Student Questionnaire, and a nonrefundable $100 fee)

    3. Schedule SSAT or ISEE

    4. Request English, Math, and Principal/Counselor Evaluation Forms and School Records through Ravenna

    5. We will contact you to schedule your child’s Admissions Interview

  • UPPER SCHOOL APPLICATIONS

    Grades 9-12

    1. Create a Ravenna Account

    2. Submit an application through Ravenna (includes Shared Applicant Information Form, Parent Questionnaire, Student Questionnaire, and a nonrefundable $100 fee)

    3. Schedule SSAT or ISEE (or submit PSAT or SAT scores)

    4. Request English, Math, and Principal/Counselor Evaluation Forms and School Records through Ravenna

    5. We will contact you to schedule your child’s Admissions Interview
