7th Grade Boys Basketball Off To A Strong Start

If their strong play through the first two games of the season is any indication, the 7thΒ grade boys basketball team has a LOT to look forward to.With their most recent win over Perimeter, the fiery squad improved to 2-0.
First year head coach Terry Luck is happy about the 2-0 record, but is even more pleased by the way the kids have embraced playing as a team and doing the β€œlittle things” right.
β€œOur kids really played hard and hustled. We played tenacious defense and our pressure forced Perimeter into numerous turnovers.”
Offensively, the team was led by Justin Douglas (13 points) and Micah Davis (12 points). Early in the season, both players have done a good job scoring and have also gotten their teammates involved.
Although they have gotten off to a strong start, Coach Luck knows there is still a lot of work to be done if the team is to have the type of successful season he hopes for. β€œWe need to continue to stress the fundamental aspects of the game, like rebounding, blocking out, setting picks and making good passes.”
The future looks bright for this team if they continue to work hard and hustle. The Athletic Department would like to congratulate them on their work so far and thank Coach Luck and all the parents for the effort and support they have put forth.
