At Mount Vernon, we strive to foster a spirit of service in our students well beyond traditional service hours. Students exercise service daily by learning how to be grateful for what they have, respecting others, and helping with joy. While service is infused throughout grade-level projects and activities, twice a year our entire community partners with local organizations to collect goods for those who are less fortunate.

This spring, we have expanded our reach to impact more individuals in our local community, through our Spring Cleaning Drive. If you believe #IHaveMoreThanINeed, please consider cleaning out your closets to donate any of the items below.

Preschool: Clothing and Toiletries for 7 Bridges Women and Children’s Center

Lower School: Young Adult and Children’s Clothing for Year Up Atlanta

Middle School: Non-perishable food items for Community Assistance Center

Upper School: Board Games for Somalian Refugees
New Bed Linens for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta

Families are welcome to donate any of the items, above. Items will be sorted and delivered to the respective organizations after the drive.

Thank you for continuing to partner with the School to provide assistance to our local community, by sharing the well.
