DAiCPgzXgAAw12v Being globally competitive at Mount Vernon beginsΒ with our youngest learners.
Diving into their last PBL (project based learning) for the year, first graders scoured the globe to learn about cultures, environments, climates, landmarks, capitals, humanities, historical events, and more.
Truly transcending all disciplines, children discovered connections to math, literacy, social studies, science, art, and maker. They each drew a map, created a mural and built iconic structures related to their respective countries.
The project culminated with costumed students lining the hallway, as they presentedΒ their knowledgeΒ to faculty, parents and peers through fun facts, historical references, and cardboard creations.Β DAiB6pfW0AAOm3g DAiCPgzXYAEl53N DAiCPgtWAAEBwT4 DAiCuaAXoAIFn5H DAiCuaBXcAE47-U IMG_6589 IMG_6596 IMG_6588 IMG_6586 IMG_6583 IMG_6577 IMG_6575 IMG_6573 IMG_6571 IMG_6568 IMG_6567 IMG_6563 IMG_6561 IMG_6555
