Grade 8 Student Piper Hendryx Elected as a State Officer for Junior Thespians

Piper Hendryx has recently been honored by being elected as a State Officer for Junior Thespians, which is a national honor society for theater students.

As a state officer, Piper will help plan, manage and host the Junior Thespian Conference this month, and will serve as a primary voice in Thespian board meetings. In this role, she will not only represent Mount Vernon, but also the state of Georgia.

During her time involved with the Mount Vernon arts department, Piper has participated in three Drama Bootcamps and two consecutive years as part of the 72 Hour Play, as well as being cast in Box & Labeled, James & The Giant Peach, The Odyssey, Madagascar, Aladdin, Elf, Seussical, Jungle Book, Hansel & Gretel, and Willy Wonka.
