How might we best experience space exploration?

Second Grade students have been gearing up for blast off during a six week trans-disciplinary unit study on space exploration. This week each class has been busy brainstorming and building prototypes on how might an individual have a great experience in space. The unit covered lessons in math, writing, social studies, science, literature as well as art/technology.
Leading up to the projects, students researched their topics of interest as they relate to space exploration. On Friday March 28, the second graders came together to present their iDesign projects as a part of the “Space Box Challenge.”
