For someone who teaches Lower and Middle School music classes, directs all Middle and Upper School bands, and coaches the Drum Line, picking up an instrument (or two) during his personal time is simply an extension of his music-filled day.
Through the fall, John Grove will share his gift of music in several public venues. First, he (along with his wife) will be in the orchestra pit at the Cobb Energy Center, playing bassoon to accompany the Atlanta Opera for their production of La Bohéme.
Additionally, John will play contrabassoon with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra at both of their Halloween Concerts on October 31. He has been selected to perform in Halloween Hijinks as well as Danny Elfman’s Music from the films of Tim Burton.
#IMAMUSTANG: John Grove. Please continue to make beautiful music!
