Mustang Thunder at The Atlanta Hawks

This week Mount Vernon’s entire basketball cheerleading squad–spanning fifth through 12th grade–was the opening act for the Atlanta Hawks as the team took on the Phoenix Suns. Mastering an elaborate dance and stunt routine, the Lady Mustangs brought down the house! Cheer coaches, Katina Long, Amanda Stavropoulos, and Kelly Fitzgerald choreographed the performance which included 25 Mount Vernon cheerleaders. Congratulations Lady Mustangs! While the Hawks could not pull out a win against the Suns–your performance was a big win for Mount Vernon!
