The Varsity Boys Soccer team has already tripled the amount of wins from last season. With a record of 3-3-2 and two games remaining, the team is poised for its best season ever. A young team last year, the Mustangs had a difficult season, but continuously improved throughout the year. With that momentum carried over from last season, the boys have come out strong this year and are determined to be the best team in school history. Led by captains BIll Lampe and Drake Gomer, the offense has picked up and the team is averaging almost 3 goals a game. Freshmen Cameron Snow and Winston Fox also have contributed to the scoring with a couple goals. The defense has been solid behind the great goalkeeping of senior Andrew Dobbins and the excellent play of Jonathan Moore, Patrick Helmke, Charlie Goldman and Ben Martin.

The team has two more games remaining, including a game at home on April 15 vs WD Mohammed at 5:45 p.m. The team will recognize it’s biggest senior class ever. This day is also Spring Sports Day at Mount Vernon! Come out and support the Mustangs!
