Sophomore Jacob Buck says of his experience, “Though we were only in the House of Representatives chamber for a short time, we mainly heard them discussing and voting on whether or not to table a bill. However, while we were waiting for the session to concludeย toย get pictures with some of our representatives, there was a protest on the south staircase inside the building about education. We were privileged to meet Sam Olens, Attorney General for the State of Georgia, which was an amazing experience. He told us what being the Attorney General actually means and about his many responsibilitiesย and the people he represents. The building is incredibly special because it is one of the oldest buildings in the city, and still shines as an architectural gem in the middle of downtown Atlanta.”
