Recently the entire fourth grade participated in the Greg Tang Tangyย Tuesdayย Olympic Math Challenge.ย Over the course of 48 hours, the children worked to complete as many levels of four math games as they possibly could.
During the two days, I saw the students supporting each other through difficult problems and collaborating toย reach higher levels, together! I even heard about nightly phone calls and texts encouraging each other. I am SO incredibly proud of the hard work that all the students put into this challenge!!ย I’m even prouder that their hard work paid off and we WON THE GOLD!!!! You’ll also notice that Mrs. Edwards’ class is recognized in the Honorable Mention category for their hard work and efforts!
As a result of our victory, in addition to growing stronger in math and collaboration, we have been awarded a monetary gift to purchase math games from the Greg Tang Math Store.ย We are all excited to plan what we might add to our classroom!
