Local artist Tripti Yoganathan recently visited both the Intro to Ceramics and Advanced Ceramics classes offered in the Upper School.
A seasoned artist who works out of Callenwolde Studios and shows her work regionally, Tripti instructed the classes on slab design and working from a template/pattern shaped like a party hat.
She showed the students three completed structural possibilities you could then make with the same party hat pattern. Following her visit, the students made a bird-house structure, wrapped it up for the night, and then added appendages and character to make them reflections of the students own interests.
