Seventh grader Ethan Ray teamed up with Chef Allen Clark, Director of Dining Services, to put the finishing touches on 300 desserts for Mount Vernon’sΒ Class of 2016 Senior Banquet.
With an eye for design and the skills to match, Ethan personally airbrushed the “MV Dot” on each dessert — a white chocolate panna cottaΒ —Β served to seniors and their families after the Baccalaureate service on graduation weekend.
When not in class (or in the kitchen), Ethan can be found in Mr. Kunath’s Upper School art room experimenting with many mediums, including: drawing, painting, air brushing, theatricalΒ and prosthetic makeup and set design. Mr. Kunath shares, “Ethan is extremely innovative and has an unprecedented sense of seekingΒ out levels of achievement. He drives himself toward mastery, building confidence. With that, he continues at an unwavering pace. He’s pretty much unstoppable and extremely imaginative.”
