Senior Mustang Jacob Munoz is kind of a big deal. Physically strong and mentally tough, Munoz is currently ranked 17th in the nation as a high school football long snapper. Already a local hero, Jacob (Jake) is well on his way to carving out a spot for himself on a Division 1 team next fall. Fans are starting to take notice. Scouts are seeking him out and now, so is the one of the largest sports media franchises, Sports Illustrated.
The summer before his senior year, Munoz was named one of Sports Illustrated‘s “Faces in the Crowd,” a long-running segment focusing on amateur athletes. He is among good company, which includes Tiger Woods, Andy Roddick, Shawn Marion, Ben Roethlisberger and Tim Tebow. This honor lends itself to being a precursor to something bigger.
Just two short months later, Jacob heard from SI again. This time, with a request to be interviewed for their NOW segment. Armed with nothing but his cool, calm and collected demeanor, he humbly shared what just may be, up to now, four of the most important minutes of his life.
Watch this Mustang in action, off of the field.

Always humble, Jacob watches himself on the big screen.

Actively anticipating his post-graduation phase, Munoz is currently checking out several football fields around the nation.
