MS Athletes Awarded for Hustle and Grit

The Middle School Athletic Banquet, held upon completion of the spring sports season, brings families together to celebrate the hard work and achievements of student athletes throughout the year. Two players per team are recognized. The MVP Award is given to the student athlete that performs to the highest level on the field/court/mat. This is the person that is considered most valuable by coaches and teammates as it relates to performance. The Mustang Award is given to the student athlete that best exemplifies what it means to be a Mount Vernon student athlete. This person may not necessarily be the top scorer or performer, but he or she shows up and works hard every day, has a positive attitude, motivates teammates and does whatever it takes to add value to the squad.
