COI SliderEntrepreneurs, business leaders, education experts, and active members of the community have been invited to be a part of the School’s 2014 Council on Innovation on Friday, October 24, 2014.
As a part of Mount Vernon’s vision to be the best in developing and delivering a 21st century learning experience, Head of School Dr. Brett Jacobsen and the Board of Trustees will hold the second annual Council on Innovation.
Sponsored by the Mount Vernon Institute for Innovation (MVIFI) the Council on Innovation is an opportunity for experts in their professional fields to provide insight, expertise, and observations on how we might continue to fulfill our mission of preparing all students to be college ready, globally competitive, and engaged citizen leaders.
Focusing on one of our School’s mission-related priorities, as a council member you will interact with MVPS students, faculty, staff, and Trustees, share observations, and make recommendations for the School’s continual improvement in this one-day opportunity.
An optional part of the experience will include an event called The Benefit held on Saturday, October 25, which includes an evening of cocktails and conversation allowing council members to network and interact with School faculty, staff, and families in an informal setting.
At the conclusion of the council’s visit, the School will share the Council’s observations and findings with the School community. Read excerpts from the 2013 Council on Innovation experience (pages 15-17).
The School has highly ambitious goals for the upcoming years, and continual assessment and improvement of all facets of MVPS will ensure an uncompromising commitment to and achievement of excellence throughout every arena.
The Council on Innovation will convene from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. October 24, 2014.
