Parent Communication
We believe that relationships are foundational for learning and that in order to provide the best experience to each of our children, we must have open, trusting relationships with each and every family. Parents and faculty communicate frequently through personal interactions, an online progress reporting system, and multiple parent/teacher conferences throughout the school year.
- Face-to-face communication is our preferred method of contact and we make every
effort to not only get to know your child individually, but also form a relationship with the
family members of each of our children. - We use an online progress reporting system which gives teachers the ability to capture, curate, and share moments of a child’s day in real time. This system is also used to compile documentation of developmental growth, communicate reminders and messages, and provide succinct yet informative progress reports at different points during the year.
- Our current model of parent/teacher conferences has parents meeting with their child’s teacher(s) at least three times each school year. At the beginning of the year, we ask parents to come in and share about their child’s interests and curiosities, what makes them unique, and their goals for the school year. At two other times throughout the year, parents and teachers come back together to discuss each child’s individual growth and development, as well as their progress on the goals set at the beginning of the year.
