Children can acquire confidence by exploring their creativity.
Artists in Residence
Artists aren’t just guests at Mount Vernon they’re co-creators. Each year, students have the opportunity to partner with trailblazing artists who are leaders in their industry as they create original work together. Whether it is developing a new play based on an award-winning book, or curating a visual art exhibit with a world-renowned artist, our students have the opportunity to learn from, work with, and create alongside incredible creatives from across traditional and emerging fields in the arts.

Theatre is an immersive experience. Mount Vernon students have endless opportunities to act, design, build, and stage-manage to create electrifying performances.
Our students are performers, receiving individualized instruction from talented faculty, developing into confident and accomplished musicians through concert band, chorus, and audio production.
Dance develops character. Rooted in technique and expression, our emerging dance program, which develops confidence and skill, includes ballet, hip-hop, modern jazz, and tap.
