Varsity Track and Field highlights are HIGH! Recently these athletes established themselves as leaders in the field events of the Metro Area Championships.

Autumn Burnette, senior

  • WON the shot put and broke a school record, with a Personal Record (PR) throw of 39′ (this also happens to be the new TRACK record @ Galloway!)
Abby Watkins, senior
  • WON with a PR in the discus with a throw of 73’10”
Kendall Jasper, senior
  • Made his jumping debut for this season, winning the triple jump with a jump of 37′ 2″
  • Placed second in the long jump with a jump of 18′ 3 1/4″

Morgan Lewis, junior

  • Ran 300-meter hurdles for the first time and WON with a time of 47.12

  • WON the shot put and threw a new TRACK record at 50′ 5 1/2″

Alan Harris, junior

  • Threw a new PR in the discus at 121′ 10″
Emma Edmonson, junior
  • Threw 26’11” in the shot put
Griffin Westbrook, junior
  • Threw 86’8″ in the discus

Reggie Burnette, sophomore

  • Threw 37’7″ in the shot put

Maya Muñoz, freshman

  • Threw 23′ in the shot put

Parker Corley, freshman

  • Threw 93’4″ in the discus
Additionally, both boys and girls ran relays for the first time all season:
  • Girls 4×400 came in second overall with a time of 4:39.99
  • Boys 4×100 came in second overall with a time of 46.64
