As we begin the 2021-2022 school year, Mount Vernon is thrilled to introduce our community to the new members of our faculty and staff. Each week, a Faculty Friday spotlight will be posted to Facebook and LinkedIn, but for now, check out the below preview into this new group of Mustangs.

Across the School’s four divisions, we have teachers who have lived all over the world in places like Hawaii, Vancouver, New York City, Las Vegas, Europe, and Africa. We also have many Atlanta natives joining the team.

Among this group is a first generation Cuban-American and a 2019 Teacher of the Year. We have a past public defender, a member of the Hawaii National Guard, and a professional dancer. A broadcasting professional, serial hobbyist, jewelry maker, and software designer come to the School, alongside many coaches. Our newest faculty and staff members come from colleges and universities like the University of Vermont, Harvard, the University of Georgia and UGA Law School, Johns Hopkins University, University of HawaiΚ»i at Mānoa, Miles College, Georgetown University, The University of the South, Georgia State University, West Virginia University, University of Delaware, Washington and Lee University, Furman University, Baptist Bible College, and more.
