Nicole Martin, Ed.S., is the Chief Learning Officer at The Mount Vernon School in Atlanta, Georgia, where she has served for over 15 years. She leads the vision and implementation of innovative, inquiry-based practices across Preschool through Grade 12, including competency-based learning, instructional rounds, authentic assessment, and professional growth systems. Nicole also helped design the School’s learning coach model and is passionate about creating environments that foster curiosity, agency, and deep learning.

Before joining Mount Vernon, Nicole served as a learning and reading specialist and taught middle and high school English at several Atlanta-area schools, including The Schenck School and Atlanta Girls’ School. She has presented nationally at conferences including SAIS, NCTE, ERB, and Harvard’s Project Zero, and also serves as a senior consultant for Mount Vernon Ventures.
