Scott Cain serves as the Director of Athletics at Mount Vernon School, bringing with him a deep love for the Mustang community and a strong commitment to developing student-athletes through excellence, character, and purpose.
Scott returns to Mount Vernon after eight years at The Westminster Schools, where he continued to grow as an athletic leader while working alongside exceptional coaches, students, and colleagues. His return to Mount Vernon marks a meaningful homecoming, as he previously served the School for six years beginning in 2012.
With a heart for students, families, coaches, and the broader school community, Scott is passionate about building athletic programs that foster growth, teamwork, leadership, and belonging. He is excited to rejoin Mount Vernon and help lead the next chapter of Mustang Athletics.

This Memorial Day, we honor those who served by empowering students to serve with purpose.
As part of a new service learning pilot, Grade 3 students chose to give up their recess to partner with residents at MV Village. After learning about the significance of Memorial Day and residents’ love of poppies, students stepped in to design and lead a holiday-themed arts and crafts experience from the ground up.
From creating puzzles, poppies, and flags to supporting residents one-on-one, students led with empathy, creativity, and heart.
Most inspiring of all? They’re already imagining what comes next — hoping to build an ongoing partnership and continue serving their neighbors with their whole hearts.
