Over the course of one thoughtfully designed week, students in grades 6 – 12 explore with the purpose of better understanding different people, languages, customs, and perspectives, while developing the skills to navigate an ever-changing world.
Launched in 2010, Interim Term is a foundational program offering Upper and Middle School students a variety of global and domestic opportunities to explore passions, integrate disciplines, develop cultural and historical perspectives, expand empathy muscles, and serve the public good.
Middle School Interim experiences transcend traditional notions of education, offering students a journey of discovery, growth, and transformation. Rooted in the School’s mission to prepare future leaders, these experiences not only foster academic excellence but also cultivate essential skills and attributes such as resilience, empathy, and curiosity. As students navigate through challenges, forge connections, and explore the world around them, they emerge not just as scholars but as empowered individuals ready to make a meaningful impact on the world.
CORE (Collection of Relational Experiences) is designed to allow students to explore Atlanta with the purpose of gaining exposure, experience, education, and empathy for the city they live in. Students partner with faculty and staff to create day-long outings throughout Interim Term that delve into Arts & Entertainment, Atlanta Sports, Outdoor Adventure, Food & Culture, STEM, and Service.
