SIGNATURE COMMUNITY
EVENTS
Mount Vernon’s signature community events bring our community together across all divisions to inspire families through fellowship, advance the mission of the School, and drive impact. Our annual lineup includes Rock the Bock in the fall, the Mustang Golf Tournament, the Biennial Gala, and Mustang Rally in the spring.

The Mustang Golf tournament takes place at White Columns Country Club in Milton, GA. The course is a Championship Tom Fazio Design. Guarded by towering pine trees and featuring countless elevation changes, the Tom Fazio-desgined golf course at White Columns Country Club has consistently been recognized as one of Atlanta’s top golf courses.
The tournament kicks off Mount Vernon’s annual Week of Impact, and brings together parents, businesses, and corporate partners in support of Mount Vernon’s athletic programs. Registration for this tournament will be limited to 36 foursomes (144 players). Contact Molly Crane, Director of Community Events, with questions regarding the Mustang Golf Tournament.

At Mount Vernon, we believe that a thriving community learns, serves, and gives – together. Aligned with the School’s mission to prepare all students to be engaged citizen leaders, the week of March 25 through April 1 will be dedicated to making an impact on our local community. This Week of Impact will activate our entire MV community of students, parents, grandparents, alumni, and faculty/staff, to LEARN | SERVE | GIVE.

“In the beginning, our mission was creating community through crisis, and then we added on to that … and beyond. Our whole thought process is abundance, kindness and gratitude. We live in
a society that is so abundant and has so many resources, and people really, honestly want to help. They just want someone to tell them how to do it.” – Jennifer Barnes
