Fall Audition PosterAUDITION LETTER
Dear Students and Parents,
Thank you for your interest in the MV ALLSTARS 2015-2016 Theatre Season!
Fall Mainstage Production: Beast on the Moon, by Richard Kalinoski, performing September 23 through 25.
Fall One-Act Competition: Lions in Illyria, by Robert Kauzlaric, performing October 21 through 23 with the competition at Galloway School on Saturday, October 24.
It is important that everyone understands the intense rehearsal schedule. A standard guide for theater rehearsals are that for every minute of show time, there is one hour of rehearsal time. Given that these two productions collectively run approximately 3+ hours, our rehearsal calendar reflects this formula. Please bear in mind that as opening night approaches, rehearsals will become more frequent. Some rehearsals are mandatory for all cast members. Please make sure that you will be able to honor the extensive time commitment that will be required for this play. An informational meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 18, from 3:30 until 4:30 p.m. Auditions will be held on Wednesday, August 19 and Thursday, August 20, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Black Box Theater.
Students will be required to attend both dates for the full 2 hours. Callbacks will be held on Friday, August 21 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Black Box Theater. Please note, if you are called back and do not attend, you will not be considered for a part in the play. Also, bear in mind that not being called back does not mean you have not been cast. First meeting for both shows will be on Monday, August 24, 3:30 to 5:45 p.m., followed by a general informational meeting for Parents, 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
In order to communicate with everyone, I have created a Haiku Page on the Mount Vernon School website. All students who are auditioning will be added to this group. The callback list will be posted on the Haiku Page by 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20.
The cast list will be posted by 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 22.
The Haiku Page contains an enormous amount of information including audition paperwork, all audition sides and/or sheet music so students can practice over the weekend prior to their audition. Students are strongly encouraged to take full advantage of the available information.
Please print out and sign below the next page, indicating your understanding of this information. This form must be returned on the day of your audition.

Take wing,
MVALLSTARS
