The Middle School Drama Troupe delighted audiences on May 1 & 2 with the Georgia premiere of Freckleface Strawberry, a brand new family musical, based on the best selling books by actress Julianne Moore. Freckleface Strawberry tells the story of Strawberry, a 7 year-old girl with freckles and red hair. Her friends make fun of her, and no matter what she tries, Strawberry cannot rid herself of her freckles. She even dreams that her freckles come to life in the form of gangsters. After hiding her face with a mask, Strawberry’s friends are worried about where she might be. With the help of her creative teacher, her loving mother, and her friends, Strawberry decides that it’s OK to be exactly who you are. The cast did an amazing job with this very relatable story.
The cast included: Grace Strickland, Anna Weber, Patrick Meinhardt, Ella Uhde, Lauren Roush, Katie Goodwyn, Charlotte Nickell, Jack McGuire, Jenny Long, Eliza Bruno, Skylar Stefaniak-Earley, Kylie Smith-Wolfe, Livi Sweeterman, Eleanor Madderra, CeCe Benz, Julia Strickland, Anika Vemuri, Ori Chambliss, and Kate Koontz.
The musical was directed by Chris Willoughby.
