Apr 13, 2016 | Highlights, IMAMUSTANG

IMG_6160Long snapper Jacob Munoz has made his dream a reality by committing to play football for the University of Miami. Through hard work and dedication, he has earned a reserved spot on the Division I football team.
Mount Vernon football coach Wayne Dabbs says, “Very few times in a young person’s life does someone get to experience something that Jacob is getting to experience today. Today, Jacob is committing to his childhood/lifelong favorite football program – University of Miami. When I think of Jacob, two things come to mind: character and leadership. Munoz is a prime example of why you coach. He does things the right way. He is a tremendous leader and example for people to follow. When you think of Mustang football – he is what you want people to think about. He is the type of individual you want to build a program around. He is a special young man and Mount Vernon is a better place because of the impact of Jacob Munoz.”
Jacob remarks, “This is a special moment for me. First I want to say thank you to my parents and my sister for always supporting me and helping me out. I want to thank my coaches for pushing me to the best of my abilities and just thank all my teammates and friends for always being there for me. I feel like the luckiest guy in the world to have such great people in my life. And I’m ready to take my talent to South Beach!”
