Making an Impact & Headlines in the AJC

Last week Mount Vernon’s Upper School students presented their final projects as a part of their year-long Transdisciplinary Capstone Projects. From all accounts, the expo was a raving success–a success that included many parents and external experts who served as judges for the event.
Winding down the morning, the band A-Town put on a full scale rock concert to celebrate the students’ hard work and achievement. The expo shined a light on the variety of amazing ways our students have made an impact in their local and global communities. One group captured the attention of the AJC (Atlanta Journal Constitution) by working all year to raise $5,000+ so 300 people in the Philippines could have clean water. STORY HERE
