The Benefit for Innovation: A Harvest Gala

L-R: Debby Moorman, Sarah Chamberlain and Melanie Schoen

On November 7, 2015 Mount Vernon parents and faculty came together to celebrate and support MVIFI–The Mount Vernon Institute for Innovation.
The School community was the first in the city to experience the Atlanta History Center’s new 5,300 square foot atrium space. In its third year, the Benefit for Innovation, with it’s elegant theme of A Harvest Gala, was by all accounts one the School’s best ever events. Complete with a robust online silent auction, a suspenseful and competitive live auction, dinner by Legendary Events, and music that brought everyone out onto the dance by Atlanta’s own– Band X, this event was the place to be.
The 2015 Benefit for Innovation was a raving success due to the hard work and dedication of this year’s co-chairs Debby Moorman and Melanie Schoen, class baskets and auction chairs Ashley Cox and Ashley Giardino, class party chair Sarah Chamberlain, and their powerhouse committee of parent volunteers.
Not only did the team put together a memorable evening, but they, along with the support of our community raised almost $90,000 to provide tremendous opportunities for students at Mount Vernon.
Accelerating and amplifying the School’s work, the Mount Vernon Institute for Innovation enhances the transformational learning experience of MV students and learners worldwide.
