Understanding Dyslexia, May 12- 6:30 p.m., Speaker Brenda Fitzgerald

A Parent University on Understanding Dyslexia will take place Monday, May 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Understanding Dyslexia is designed to educate participants in the origin, characteristics, remediation and accommodations for the neurobiological disability known as Dyslexia. This is the most common reading disability found in the classroom.
Brenda Fitzgerald holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, a Masters of Education in Early Childhood and an Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She is certified as a Reading Specialist k-12, has a Reading Endorsement and is Orton-Gillingham certified. Brenda is a Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year. She presently serves as the Executive Director for Georgia Educational Training Agency.
